Job Description:

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida, USA. We provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide, supporting the US Department of Defense (DOD) and other US federal agencies. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the conceptual design, review, and stamping, sealing of the drawings before submission to the clients. Our salary range for this position is $120k to $135k per annum (varies depending on experience and qualifications). Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, update, modify, and approve electrical design plans and work schedules.
  • Lead construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews.
  • Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects, and mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Support Contract management and Planning divisions with scope, programming, and scheduling definition.
  • Develop cost estimates and time schedules; review and analyze designs for technical efficiency.
  • Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
  • Prepare necessary correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, and final construction drawings.
  • Inspect installations to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD) to perform engineering tasks.
  • Stay current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and onboarding.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate. Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • Experience with US Government and Military projects preferred.
    • A licensed Professional Engineer is required.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; analytical thinking; project management; attention to detail.
    • Strong understanding of construction techniques; able to problem solve and troubleshoot.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software; CAD/Revit experience.
    • Familiarity with military programming rules is desirable.
    • Willingness to travel for occasional international assignments.
    • Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment.
