Attorney/Senior Attorney (2 Positions) - Oakland, CA The State
Coastal Conservancy seeks two attorneys to join our six-person
legal team. The Conservancy is a small state agency that protects
natural resources, including wetlands, open space, rivers, and
watersheds; addresses the impacts of climate change, including sea
level rise and extreme weather; and increases opportunities for the
public to get to and enjoy the coast. The Conservancy works along
the entire length of California's coast, within coastal watersheds,
through-out the Bay Area, and along the Santa Ana River. The
Conservancy awards and oversees grants to local governments, other
state agencies, nonprofit organizations, and tribes, using various
types of funding. Conservancy attorneys work mostly in the areas of
contracts, real property, environmental permitting, land use, and
operation of state and local government. The Conservancy's offices
